Caitlin Marie DeVante

After her mother died as a result of a long-term illness, her father's gambling grew heavier and heavier, until the debts he owed were incredibly large. In a drunken stupor during a poker game, Harold bet Caitlin to Sean Smith. Unfortunately, Sean won the game and was married to Caitlin. Sean being twenty-four years old at the time, and Caitlin just a child, she knew not how to give pleasure, nor receive. But soon, they learned to love each other. Caitlin became with child shortly after the wedding, and the expecting father, overexcited with joy, took a trip to the city, to buy a crib for the child. He never returned though, killed in a careless accident. The drink had also caught up with Caitlin's father, leaving her alone and pregnant. Caitlin ran far away from the place that had brought her so much misfortune, hoping to find a new family, and a father for her child. She landed at the Stone Altar, her hopes and dreams high.
